Hallo All I have not paid much attention to my SCOTT ancestors from D and G but now need to follow-up on a few questions. I have a Robert SCOTT x Elizabeth McJORE. Robert born abt 1781 married abt 1814 and died Ryes, Southwick 15 Dec 1844 Elizabeth born 21 Sep 1784 Lochrutton, Kircudbright died 10 Mar 1862, Bognow, Southwick The above couple had 8 children but I have an interest in the following two: Andrew SCOTT baptised 27 Oct 1814 Urr died 27 Oct 1837 Glencaple Quay Robert SCOTT baptised 8 Apr 1817 Urr died 13 Oct 1839 Sheffield. I would like to find out whether these two sons were married and had children before they died at 22 and 23 years respectively. My particular interest is in finding the father of a Samuel SCOTT who was born about 1839 in "Dumfries" and left for South Africa about 1858 never to return to Scotland.
