Hi List, I was just pondering the lack of information found on Walter Ritchie,husband of the said Martha,when the blindingly obvious thought occurred to me that Walter & Martha would probably be buried in the same grave. The bad news of course is that I don't know where Martha is buried. But I do know when and where Martha died so I thought someone may be able to point me at some burial records,or MIs,which could be in a likely spot adjacent to the scene of Martha's demise. Martha Ritchie died July 22nd,1884,aged 88 at English Street,Annan where she had been living with two sons. Martha was noted as a widow by 1851 so Walter had predeceased her. Her two sons,James and Angus,neither of whom appear to have married, eventually died at the same location so they may very well be buried in the same spot.
