Can anyone tell me if they have heard of or know where the following are. Corsockbridge? , Kirkconnel. An Agnes Milligan born there c1801, daughter of William Milligan and Catherine Hunter. Glouroe'r?, possibly in the Closeburn area. This is where my 3x Great Grandfather, John Sharpe, died in 1823. This is according to the headstone at Dalgarnock Kirkyard. Thanks Tom Shaw

Tom,I have an Agnes McGhee MILLIGAN b 24 Nov 1806 in New Cumnock AYR.Her parents were Anthony MILLIGAN and Margaret FRIAR, their first son John was born in Kirkcowan WIG, 6 Nov 1793, the next few wereborn in Penningham WIG then New Cumnock where a William was born 20 Jun 1814.Would your William be a brother to my Anthony? If the Scottish namingpattern was followed, Anthony's parents may have been John and Jean.RegardsJenny
