    3. Diane, Would you please be so kind as to see how many DUNBAR's are listed? If there are many, please let me have the total and I'll see if I borrow the books on inter-library loan. If there are a few, I would be most grateful for the details. Many thanks! Pat Pat(rick) R. L. KCG 273 Abbreviations: (I'll not repeat any that appeared in my previous post.) INV = Inverness ANS = Angus NS = Nova Scotia BAN = Banff ABD = Aberdeen From the Bibliography DGH = Dumfries and Galloway Herald & Advertiser (merged in 1844 with the Galloway Register to become the Dumfries & Galloway Herald & Register). HPC = History of Pictou County, by Rev. George Patterson, Montreal, 1877 PAC = The Pioneers and Churches ..., by Daniel Keith Ross. New Glasgow, NS: 1955 KCG = Officers and Graduates of University and King's College, Aberdeen, MVD-MDCCCLX (1495-1860), edited by Peter John Anderson. Aberdeen: New Spalding Club, 1893. Note: As I was preparing this listing, I noted a high number of what appeared to be Middle Initials "D" in the listings for siblings. In checking the book's listing of abbreviations, a lower case "d" is used for died or dead, and no instance of the upper case "D" was shown as an abbreviation. However, in nearly every instance of a listing with siblings throughout the book, the "D" appears following the given name. This letter may have been used to indicate died or dead instead of the lower case letter, or it may truly be a middle initial. Just a word of caution.....
