    3. Well that's a timely reminder that the wording of family notices can be deceptive. Found the 1942 engagement notice for Sarah CLAY and the Rev John Francis DOBSON. Sarah was the only child of Lieut Col Basil Laing- Clay OBE (prisoner of war) and Mrs Clay, Furlongs, Tring (etc) and grandaughter of Sir Gordon and Lady Nairne. So the Sarah and John Dobson in the Narciza's obit must be Sybil's daughter and her husband.
