Hi list I have many dead ends with my Douglas family and thought I might try again hear James Douglas c 1800 married Ann Smith c 1806, before 1825 there was at least 8 children. James and Ann both died Dec 1848 of cholera the family were then split up John Douglas the eldest son cared for five of the children two of the girls Elizabeth and Mary born 1833[my G. Grandmother] went to live with their Grandparents at Roucan Farm they were James Smith and Jean Glendenning. Ann was on her own with the children in 1841 and I can't find a marriage to James Douglas.
