Hi there folks, Can anyone help with my Anderson ancestors. the furthest I have got back is Thomas Anderson who died in Kirpatrick Juxta in 1838 aged 78 married to Catherine Marchbankof Kirkpatrick Juxta. When their first child was born he was a miller at Archbank near Moffat then he farmed at Wester Earshaig in Kirpatrick Juxta until his death. I'm not sure how to find the correct birth. The closest in the county is 1763 in Eskdalemuir with a father James (his first son was called James so I guess this would be a good sign!). There are 2 others within +- 5yrs (Scotland's People). I suspect the Eskdalemuir one is the correct one but don't know how I could verify this.... Also, I thought maybe a miller might move there from some other mill further away. Anyone got any thoughts? cheers Norma
