Hoping sks can help my friend who has started to research McGRADY ancestors of Stoneykirk, the family has a link with High Mye. Unfortunately my family history research experience is restricted to England so I'm limited in how much I can help her - although we are both very willing to learn :-). 1. She has a copy of the entry for the 1823 Stoneykirk Banns for William McGRADDIE and Helen BLAINEY, "both in this Parish were enrolled for proclamation of Banns three times first Lord's Day.". Where can she find the Parish Records for this marriage - preferable on-line? 2. William MCGRADY / McGRADDIE (and other variants) according to various census was was born in Ireland . Are there any records which may record Williams origins, apart from the parish record for his marriage to Helen BLAINEY? According to various census: William was bc 1781 - 1798, Ireland and Helen/Ellen was bc 1804, Portpatrick, Wigtownshire (or Stoneykirk). 3. Is there anyone on the list research these lines? We will be very gratefully for any suggestions. Regards, Sue
