Hi, My JOHNSTONE FAMILY were from ROBERT JOHNSTONE and JANET BURNET Parish of Kirkmichael Tollgate 22nd December 1760 Baptised William ,lawful son & only child to Robert Johnstone and Janet Burnet there. Before these witnesses Thomas Kirkpatrick, John Johnstone and the Congregation I think this may be my William Johnstone who died at Redhall Dumfriesshire 14th April 1841 He is buried with his wife Jean Wightman at the Garrel cemetery "Min...side of Meickleholm 20th April 1764 Eodem Die & coram iisdom iisdam Tofsibus On this day & before us Isabel Johnstone Baptised Isabel lawful daughter & second child to Robert Johnstone and Janet Burnet there" Married James Watson c 1790 1841 census Gateside Kirkmahoe James Watson shopkeeper aged 76 born county of Dumfries Isabella Watson aged 78 born County of Dumfries Mungo Watson 40 born County of Dumfries Death Garrell Churchyard Kirkmichael In memory of Isabella Johnston who died at Gateside Kirkmahoe 5th November 1846 aged 82 years.
