I was hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction re. accessing the Dumfries Kirk sessions from Australia.I have found an entry for an irregular marriage in September of 1783 between William Bell and Margaret Allan. William came before the sessions on 17 May, 1784,and was ordered to pay "the usual fine". I am desperate to view this record,but as far as I can ascertain, the Dumfries Kirk sessions are not available online or for purchasing. Will I have to engage a researcher, and if so, where do I find one?Many thanks, Jen in central west NSW.
