I'd like to add 2 more points: 1. 'Reply to all' results in the message being sent to the originator twice - one direct from you, and one via Rootsweb. If the originator is subscribed in 'List' mode, there will only be a short delay between the two. If the originator is subscribed only in 'Digest' mode, the message from Rootsweb could be delayed for days, depending on certain options set by that List's administrator. For this reason, I think it best to not delete the direct address from your 'Reply to All' message. 2. When replying to the list, the default usually includes the original message, including headers, footers, tag lines, etc. Leaving this unedited can clutter your reply unnecessarily, so its best to spend a little time deleting superfluous content from the original message as appended to your reply. This may include some or even all of the original text. For anyone in 'Digest' mode only, the potential for clutter is enormous, so one needs to be mindful of this. Regards, Bruce
