Talked with Lynn McCall and he still plans to forward kilted photos of Major Robert Mccall-Pollock , formerly of Black Watch, in time for GMHG. He will try to interest Angus , Robert's son in accepting temporary Chieftain of Mccalls and to maintain his Father's Coat of Arms (James Mccall of Daldowie0. Sister lives near Lynn. Need to hear more about Mccall Reunion at Whipple Dam later this month. Brent and Lynn have attended in past and I suspect that Edith Young attends? Kevin, Mark and Bill should be back from Scotland next week. They should know all the latest news from Dumfries and Galloway. Bill and Mark will be at GMHG. Heard from Mary Allison and she is headed across the ocean. Her Robert W. McCall married Amanda "Mandy" Barnes. Still trying to verify that the Rood fair in Dumfries was originally Druid fair? Mary ann BOYD b abt 1853 married aft 1871 to John McDonald, Mary died 21 Jun 1903. James Murray BOYD is my great grandfather. I have nothing on Janet JOHNSTONE other than she married Hugh MURRAY b abt 1843 they married possibly abt 1866/67. 3. Steve, Getting into the swing of things again (genealogy research) is not as simple as I thought! Found the information I was looking for when I received your last email. John's wife's maiden name was BOYD so it definitely is the same couple. I have 8 children listed and the year of their marriage. I also have the marriage dates for John's second wife, Elizabeth SMITH. May

Interesting that you have a John McDONALD, so have I, and I believe they are one and the same person. John's wife's name was Mary Ann and I think that would be too much of a coincidence in such a small community as Ecclefechan. Do you have the names of their children? We could certainly compare but I'm sure we've got the same couple. May <<Next Janet MURRAY & Thomas BOYD had a baby girl b abt May 1851 who wasn't baptised on the 1851 census (possibly Janet). 3. Hi - Does anyone have access to the 1891 and 1901 Census? If so, can I ask a huge favour.....please!! I'm looking for a couple of families and I think (operative word) they lived on High Street. One family supposedly lived next to the Carlisle House - through an archway into some kind of courtyard, the other lived close to a shop is it possible to find the name of the shop and who the proprietor was? The surnames are MURRAY & JOHNSTON. I would also like to ask if Howrig is a street or a farm, or what???? Thanks a lot May
