Hi Listers, My first posting to this site and my search is for THOMAS HENRY DUCKWORTH he was my maternal great-grandfather. Unfortunately I am unable to find my grandfathers (Albert Duckworth) birth cert and without it cannot get back any further, I have had a professional searcher in London go to the PRO several times, I know granddad was born 23rd September 1901 (after the census of course) and the only other thing my mum tells me is that granddads mum could be Selina Howarth (Haworth). So that is all I have THOMAS HENRY DUCKWORTH probably married late 1800's to SELINA HOWARTH (HAWORTH) with a son ALBERT born in September 1901. Anyone have these in their family. Those on the Lancashire list have probably heard my plea before. I believe they were in Salford some time, but lived in Bury in later years, Thomas was a carter. Regards Mary

Hi Mary, There aren't many Selina Duckworths on the 1901 census, and the only one that appears to fit is Selena (sic) Duckworth age 35 born and living in Accrington. If you have some credit it may be worth downloading the image to see if she has a husband Thomas? Unfortunately, as you know, there are so many Duckworths around that area! (including mine - which I've abandoned for a while!) There are a couple of possible Thomases in Accrington in 1901.
