Researching the marriage etc. of Annie Collinge to Duckworth. Annie was born Aug.16,1866 in Holcombe, Lancashire. She married the elusive Duckworth on March 8, 1885 in Bury, Lancashire. I have no other information regarding their marriage, his first name, or their family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Shirli From Surrey, B.C. Canada
Hello We are actually researching the Rogers Family, and building a Rogers Family Database here. However, we have came across this material below, on Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth, and what seems to be multiple marriages between the Duckworth Family and the Rogers. Is it possible that you might have a descendant report available to share, that would show some of these marriages? Thomas W. Rogers http://www.expage.com/ancestorial Subj: Re: requests! Date: 10/11/00 11:35:59 AM Central Daylight Time From: [email protected] (Jeannie) To: [email protected] i just sent this to a possible cousin of mine : giving it to you to see if you see anyway to help me see a connection... arrrrrghhhhhhhh! **************************************************************************** *********************************** HI.. are you still doing research on the Rogers? This is a bit much to be a coincidence.. can you help? YOUR INFO: i am looking at your lineage from Thomas.... and noticed Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth married to William. (see below, Thomas, sending you his whole line but i only sent part of it to him-- you have my line on your cd) my Shadrach's son Meshach had 6 children who married 7 duckworth siblings in the early 1800's! MY INFO: My line from Shadrach (1757) and Hope has Timothy Rogers(b. 1828 and son of Meshach and grandson to Shadrach m. Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth b. 1825 (her mother was Mary Jane Thompson and father Zabud Duckworth) looking at different gedcom files i have merged..i find a Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth born in 1823 married to a George W. Johnson (her parents were Mary Polly Green and Joseph Duckworth) I also find a Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth born in 1837 who married Benjamin Grant (her parents were Mary Mahala Alexander and William Duckworth) I wonder how many Sarah Elizabeth Duckworth there were and also how long were the Duckworths and Rogers intermarrying? If your line was marrying into that family.. our lines are almost certainly connecting.. My line is filled with Timothy, william, shadrach, polly, sarah, martha, elizabeth, mary, williams, johns.. ect. I know we have corresponded before.. but maybe we missed something... want to try again? My fiance' is desparate to find out as much as he can about his family lineage. Unfortunately, the only information he has, or can obtain, is that his grandfather's full name is David Franklin Duckworth born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1925. This seems to be turning into a hopeless search. Any links I follow turn up nothing. Any suggestions or should we just give up?
Looking for information on DUCKWORTH/WOLVERTON marriages. Several Internet sites indicate that William (b. 1736, NJ or VA) and Simon (b.c.1740, VA), sons of John and Sarah (HANKINS) DUCKWORTH, married Jane and Mary WOOLVERTON, respectively. Does anyone know the source of this information or anything more about these or other DUCKWORTH/WOLVERTON marriages? Will share what I know about the WOLVERTONS. Mary Mary W. I have been looking for my family line for Hope Duckworth who married William Thomas Pearson 1889 in Stone co.,Mo. I know nothing else about their past. Would you happen to have them? Hi everyone, I am new to the list. My DUCKWORTH family emmigrated from Edinburgh to Dunedin in 1849 on the ship the 'Mary'. They were Robert and Margaret with their children Elizabeth (married John Kelly) Agnes Caroline (married Francis Edmund Ovenden) James Hunter (married Isabella Flockhart Grainger) Margaret Allison (unmarried). Mary Anne Steel was born just after their arrival, she married Julian Fraser Beetson, Henry (married Grace Bavis Brown) Andrew (married Jamesina Gun Sutherland) and Dorothea (married Andrew Summers) my line. The family history in NZ has been done and a book was produced in 1998. Details for purchase can be obtained from me. Our problem though is that in Edinburgh Robert Duckworth's father was given as Robert Duckard, (and also at times Duckett). Robert and Margaret's first 3 children were registered under Duckard then the surname became changed to Duckworth. I am sure this is because of how they were heard? Robert Duckard senior was in the 5th Dragoon guards and fought in the Peninsular Wars. Both Robert Jnr and his sister Agnes were born in Spain the mother given as Dorothea Dixon. We have not found any marriage for him, or anything about him before 1806 when he enlists. We do not know where he came from, however I suspect Lancashire but we have no proof. He enlisted in Ireland. Does anyone have a lost Robert who may fit the bill? Would appreciate any help. Sandy Hedstrom. Sandy

I am searching for James Duckworth. The only info that I have on him is he had a daughter named Sarah Louise Duckworth. She was born 1875 in SC and died in 1821 in Attala County, MS. Sarah married Morgan Jasper McDaniel. They could have been married in SC, AL, or MS. Sarah and Morgan died in MS. I would like to find some connections on this family. Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar. Thanks, Janna
