I am not a DuBose. But I know one. And have not been able to find out one itty bitty thing. Her name was Miss Dubose and she was married to (I hope) or goodness gracious, lived with my great grandfather Timothy O'Brien in Charleston SC around 1875? I have her family wills and things and her furniture... I think she must have been Mary M. Conyers who married Henry DuBose in 1852. John Stephens held her property(according to this contract) property willed to her by Mr.China all in Williamsburgh and other property around The Santee river. Two boys Julius 8 years old and Morris 7 years old. I have other old documents from 1732 which look like land grants. Can anybody shed any light on this? In one document, her name is spelled Maria.
