The following is is a query I have posted to the Campbell List, but we have so many good researchers in the DuBose group, thought I'd list here also as Susannah married a DuBose and I might find some of her descendants here. I am searching for the parents of my gggg grandmother, Susannah CAMPBELL. Susannah was born in 1778, died in 1818. In 1799 she married Benjamin DuBOSE. Benjamin was born in 1770 in Darlington Co SC and died in 1851 in Marengo Co AL. Benjamin was the son of Andrew DuBOSE and Andrew's Rebecca DuBOSE. Everywhere I look for Susannah's father, or parents, he is discribed as "a Scott Baptist Minister". This is the only information I have on him. I am descended from Susannah and Benjamin's daughter, Eliza. Eliza DuBOSE was born 12/27/1799, 1/21/1847 in Dooly Co. GA. She married John HUMPHRIES 4/26/1821. John HUMPHRIES was born 1790 and died 1855 in Madison GA. (do not know if this was town of Madison or count of Madison) John was a Methodist minister and served in the GA conference. Eliza's and John's son, Thomas DuBose HUMPHRIES was my gg grandfather.
