Betty: The John Dubose who married Susan Cantey was the son of Isaac IV. He was born on July 23, 1779. Susan died and he married Margaret Dick, a great-granddaughter of John and Mary Whilden. John and Margaret came to Texas in about 1840 and settled in Gonzales Co. Their son, James Lawrence, is my great grandfather.
