My mom was the only child of Stephen Driscoll, born about 1911 in New York. Stephen married Myrtle Geiser (or Gieser) in the 1930s, and my Mom, Patricia Ann, was born in 1938. Stephen died in an accident in early 1939. I've been able to find Stephen (as "Stephan Driscoll") in the 1930 Census, which shows his father Daniel J, his stepmother Margaret (b 1902, possibly nee McDonald, but this is uncertain), and two half-sisters Marie (possibly Maggie) and Anna (b. 1927 and 1928, respectively). Stephen's birth mother's name is thought to be Anna McDonald - my Mom believes she passed away in the 1920s, but there's a possibility she passed away immediately after giving birth to Stephan. Daniel and Anna were married in 1911. Daniel and Margaret were married in 1927. One or the other wife - or perhaps a 3rd as yet undiscovered wife - may have given birth to a Maggie Driscoll in 1919. (We're pretty certain that Maggie Driscoll was real, and even have a history on her, but don't know for certain who her parents were.) Daniel was a taxi driver in 1930. There's a possibility he was otherwise occupied as some sort of vehicle operator during other years, but we don't know this for certain, and haven't been able to use this tidbit to make any connections. There is no evidence I've been able to find on ancestry.com and elsewhere of either Daniel, Stephen, or Anna before or after the 1930 census that can be tied together conclusively. (Well, I did find a simple marriage record for Anna & Daniel.) Stephen and Anna are both believed to be buried at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY, but neither is listed in the available grave lists. Anyway, I'm looking for any info at all that will tell me or lead me to more about my Mom's birth father and his family. Thanks in advance to anybody who can lend a hand.
