I have tons more info on the Oswego family than is included here. If you have any information that would be great, or if would like to pass along my email (caffeine.queen@sbcglobal.net) to your friend, please feel free. Thanks, Tara Searching for any info on my Irish ancestors. Timothy Driscoll (born about 1822) married Sarah Shepherd (born about 1829) in County Cork, Ireland (town/parish unknown). They had 2 children, William 1846, and Mary Ann, 1848. All 4 emigrated (although I can find them on no passenger list) and have settled in Oswego City, NY by the 1850 census (also in the house are a James and Mary Mow? and an 11-year-old William Shepherd). Sarah died around 1861 and Timothy remarried an Irish-born woman named Ellen (surname unknown, born c. 1835-1837). They settled at 177 W. Cayuga St. in Oswego City and had 3 children: Elizabeth (b. Oct. 1862), [John] Benjamin (b. September 3, 1866) and Frederick (b. 1868). Timothy died between 1888-1900. Ellen died between 1910-1920. Elizabeth never married and lived in the house on W. Cayuga until her death in 1837. Benjamin (my great-grandfather) married and had 7 children. Frederick vanishes early on. I am assuming that he died fairly young. I do not know Timothy or Sarah's parents' names and I know nothing about Ellen prior to her marriage to Timothy. I am trying to get marriage/death records from Oswego, hoping that parents' names &/or birth location will be listed. It has been suggested that Timothy may be from Dunmanway or Bandon, but I have no documentation to confirm this. Any information would be most helpful. Thank you, Tara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
