He married Mary Leahy from Hoboken, NJ, also in Chicago. He worked as a boat captain on the Great Lakes. He died in 1937 in Chicago/Lemont, IL. Could he be the same Patrick you referenced as living in the US? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He seems to be related to some Sullivans and this is making us believe that perhaps Patrick or one of his previous relatives may have been adopted....it's a stretch! Driscoll is buried in my family's cemetary plot in Milton, MA. I cannot figure out how he is related to the family. My great grandfather was Henry William Driscoll. He is buried there as well as 2 of his sisters. They were Fannie and Hattie. Any help in solving this would be great. I know that Walter did pass away in a "psychotic hospital" according to the death certificate. Unfortunatly, it did not list any family and the "hospital" has long since closed. My Great-Grandfather's father was Timothy Driscoll. His son was Denis Driscoll born around 1835 in Dunmanway, County Cork, Timothy was married to Ellen Hurley. Denis came to the U.S. and married Catherine McCarthy `in 1870 in Pittsburgh, Penn. A few children were born in Penn. and then the family moved to a rural area in Lincoln County, Kansas. They had 15 children. Could there have been two Denis Driscoll's who married a Ellen Hurey. i realize there were quite a few Driscolls and Hurleys in that area.
