    1. Doyles in NY
    2. Harriett Auger
    3. Hi Doyles----I am still trying to figure out what happened to Edward Doyle, father of Dennis Doyle circa 1860-who married Elizabeth--in Ireland. We think Elizabeth and son, Denny, traveled to the US together. Edward could have died over in Dublin or traveled ahead and was still living when they arrived. Also, we have documents for all of the children belonging to Dennis Doyle and Mary Boshell Doyle, married around 1865 after Dennis left the Union Army, EXCEPT for the oldest son, Roger Doyle who disappears early in the 1900's. So many fires and mini-disasters occurred in the NY area at that time he could have drowned or died of the flu, and given the lusty life of the Doyle men (at least on my father's side)--maybe shot by someone's husband! It drives me crazy that they named all of their male children from a small pool of names and ditto for the girls. I am thinking of doing the DNA thing to rule out being side-tracked. The most tantalizing message on this list has three of my family names being resesarched: Doyle, Murphy, and Doherty. Well, just venting. I feel much better now. Harriett Doyle Auger formerly of Brooklyn, and now in NC ----- Original Message -----
