    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Doyle Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IcT.2ACIB/2025.1 Message Board Post: Kenny Joe, While my Doyle's came directly to New Jersey from County Mayo in the 1840's, I did have another branch of the family that lived in Newfoundland from 1790-1890 and they came from Ireland as well. I was able to find alot of information on this branch by going to this Newfoundland website http://www.rootsweb.com/~cannf/index.html Good luck with your search. Dennis Michael Doyle

    3. Dennis--Do you have any Doyles who came to NJ and NYC? My great grandfather,Dennis (Denis) Doyle and his wife, Mary Boshell Doyle settled in lower NYC, i.e. Canal, Hudson St area. Dennis was in the Civil War. There are two Doyles we cannot account for: Rodger or Roger Doyle, possibly Mary's child before her marriage, and Mark Doyle who lived on Long Island. Supposedly Denis and Mary came from Dublin but Mary might have given that information by mistake. Bogert is also a family name and I know there are some in NJ definately related to us... Any connections that ring a bell? 3. Harriett, Sorry, but none of those names are familiar to my research. I have all of my Doyles in order. I cannot say that for the other branches of my family but I do have the Doyle's all of the way back to Ballina, County Mayo. Good luck with your research.
