I have a Patrick Doyle in my family tree who came from Ireland and settled in upstate, NY. His brother, Martin, was my Gr. Grandfather. One of Martin's sons married Rose Crane. I do not have much information about Patrick Doyle. I do know he was born in Ireland. His mother was Mary Doyle. I think his father's name was Michael, but I have not quantified that yet. Let me know if this sheds any light. Kevin
My Ancestors were from upstate New York. My Great Great Grandfather was also a Martin Doyle born in Ireland between 1802 and 1820. According to his Death Certificate his father was named Michael Doyle and his Mother was "Maggie". Martin Doyle first came to Canada about 1840 with his wife Nancy McCormick, where three sons were born, John, Timothy and Thomas. Martin and his family then moved to Chesterfield, Essex County, New York between 1845 and 1850 where he and his family remained about the rest of his life. Would be very happy to hear from anyone who has further information on this Doyle family and in particular if there is a possibility that Martin Doyle has a brother in Sherburne New York, Chenango County.
