Just today traced the James Doyle, brother of my GGGM Catherine Doyle Brennan from Carmarthenshire, Wales to Essex Conn. Jame's son Jspeph was found there as late as the 1930 US census, so I'm looking for Doye's from Lawrence, MA. Boy to I have loads of data to share. Bonnie
Dear List, Posting to see if anyone is connected! I know very little about my Doyles and have to admit that I have not focused on them in my research.....will soon! Thomas Doyle was b. 20 Oct 1847 in Ireland. Per 1930 Census, Fitchburg, Dane Co., Wi. he had immigrated in 1872. He married Mary Gorman in 1878, Madison, Dane Co., Wi. Thomas and Mary had the following children: C.P., Mary Ellen, Sadie, Elizabeth, Margaret, Thomas, Arthur, and a daughter who died young. Hope there is a connection out there! Angela Grand Rapids, Mi.
Not sure if there is a connection. I had several great aunts and uncles that were Doyles in Meriden in the early 1900's and unsure of any of their children's names. -----Original Message----- From: Harriett Auger [SMTP:harrietta@skybest.com] Sent: Thursday, June 01, 2006 9:29 PM To: DOYLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [DOYLE] Doyles in CT Hi all, In my husband's family there is a Doyle who married a Leveille. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Theodor DOYLE which was taken at the J. R. SHOCKLEY Studio in Hannibal, Missouri. The photograph was probably taken in the 1880's with the young man in his early teens at the time. In addition to his name, someone has written "Rose SIGSWORTH's Bros." on the back of the photograph along with the name "Daisy" as if that might have been the person to who the photograph was given. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
