I'm researching a Wm J. Doyle who worked in show business and vaudeville up and down the east coast from around 1890's through the early 1920's. He was born between 1868-1874 and was possibly living in NYC around 1904. William had a wife and at least one daughter named Ruth Doyle who was born prior to 1904. After that year he remarried down south and traveled with show troupe by the name of Primrose, Doyle & Co. They traveled up and down the eastern seaboard, Tennessee, etc. On his second marriage record he indicates his birthplace as Floyd, Michigan and parents as Wm Doyle and Annie L. Primrose. His death certificate records his birthplace as Detroit, Mich. and parents as Wm Doyle and Nellie Primrose. Most everything I know of him is very vague. Other than his second marriage record and death certificate, I've never located any records of him, his parents, first marriage, or his children from the first marriage. I've never even been able to find him on any censuses from 1880-1920. If any of this sounds familiar I would sure appreciate hearing from anyone. Thank you. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Hello, I'm new to this list and am searching for my Ancestor, Margaret Phillips/Philips. Margaret married John Doyle about 1850, in Ireland, I think. [haven't found a marriage certificate] Margaret and John were born about 1830 give or take a few years. Their daughter Catherine, born about 1856 in Ireland, married Michael Geary, 6 February 1877 in Fall River, Mass. I don't know if Margaret and John came to America or stayed in Ireland. I would be most grateful for any information on this couple. Thanks, Paula ________________________________________________________________________ Check out AOL.com today.
