I am trying to track Thomas Jefferson Downing , born around 1815-census records say in Tennessee. He married Charatie Autry and lived in Alabama. They had 8 children: Elijah, Gimey (female), Amy, Archibald, Thomas jr., Absalom, Charatie and Giles. Amy married a Dr. P.H. Brothers and stayed in Alabama. Thomas Jr. married Sarah Wilkie. Everyone except Amy and her husband, and Thomas, JR.'s wife and child seems to have moved to Van Zandt County Texas. I would like to know if anyone has any information on Thomas Sr.'s parents.
