A REAL Downing genealogist! Thanks, Cheryl. [My given name is Sheryl!] When we were in Logan County in the mid-70s Dalen and Sandy Shellhammer gave us a grand tour of Morrow-Shoup-Downing country and shared information. So, you think there is a question about John Downing's Rev War service? Ann Gregath organized a Downing dedication at John Downing's grave at B-T Cemetery in 1977. It is she who stated his Rev War service, I believe. And isn't she in your branch? We corresponded at one time, about 1980. Time flies, and I have not done Downing research in over 10 years. It has been fun to get "plugged in" again! Thanks to you! Sherry
