There has been some, er, confusion over 'my' John Downing. For awhile someone had the DAR convinced he was the John Downing who served in the RW from the Ft. Pitt area. He isn't. Fortunately for us, John's wife Hannah Frakes does have ancestors. Cheryl Rothwell clrothwell@mindspring.com
