Looking for descendants of Harrison DOWNING, b. 1814 in ME, d. before 1900. He married Jane GRAHAM, dau. of Daniel GRAHAM and Elizabeth ENTSMINGER. Harrison was probably the son of Samuel DOWNING, who left Maine in 1815 and traveled via raft with his family from Pittsburgh to Gallipolis, OH. Children of Harrison and Jane shown on censuses are Louisa b. 1839; Francis b. 1841, m. Ellen Edgington 1863; (ch) b. 1843, Honora Medora b. 1845; Mary Elizabeth b. 1847, m. W. R. Edgington 1864; Samuel b. 1849, d. 1874; (ch) b. about 1851/2; and Flora b. 1854. Louisa m. George SPENCER, and Honora Medora m. Edward WILSON. This family lived in Livingston Co., IL.
