    3. Lionville, PA is mentioned in my notes on the family of Joseph Downing and his wife Mary Trimble who had a farm in the valley E of Downington in Chester Co PA. This town is mentioned as the residence of their daughter Jane who married John Gordon ca 1785. Your Downings would not be in her generation, of course, but there were a lot of Downings in Chester County...perhaps yours. My notes are too early to be of help.
