W. McKee in Grand Rapids, MICH to a distant cousin of my husband, a letter which we do not have, to Frank Anna Gerhard of KS was mention of Capt John or Jonathan Downing of Kingston NH who had a dau Sarah b 1727 and married to Isaac Webster in 1747 who fought in the REv War in RI from NH. They were NOT researching this family but doing something like a pre-computer mail list. Might be some clues here though. In Ross Downing's book, Sir George Downing etc 1989 [2400 Pleasant Grove, Lansinc MI 48910] is this: Sarah Downing dau of Moses and Anna cook Downing married Abel Osgood and their son Stephen Osgood b 1799 married Martha Webster of Salem, MA. I suggest you write to Ross and see what information might have come to him through the Downing Family Newsletter in the way of queries or submissions. Sherry
