    3. I agree with you, Linda. I have been told by my Mother that our Downings were Pa. Dutch. By 1835 two of my William Downings daughters married Miller Bros. that came from Quakers in Chester Co., Pa. had, along with the Miller family, formed themselves "The Church of God" after they came to Iowa.
