To Sherry from Ken Murphy Well, maybe somewhere down the line we may find a connection. I have seen documents of my Downings with the name spelled Downey. My Downings were Tailors. They had a men's tailoring store in County Cork and my cousin Richard Downing still ran the store, very limited, on our last contact with him by letter which was last Christmas. We haven't heard from him since then and we fear the worst being that he was 91. I wish I knew of a way to find out for sure. My Downings that came to the US remained tailors in Braddock PA before my great great grandfather came to Wheeling, WV. Thank you for your response KenMurphy
