Does anyone have any info on John Hugh Downing b. c. 1830 in NY. He married Mercie Bentley and they had 4 children: Edith b. 1859 WI, Harriet b. 1862 WI, William b. 1866 IA, and Nellie b.1873 IA. John Downing lived in IL, WI, Howard Co. IA c1866, and Lincoln Co. MN 1878- d. 1916. I would like to find the parents and siblings of John Downing. Any help would be very appreciated.
