From a book entitled Index to Memorials and Land Titles 1674-1776 under royal grants Vol 15, page 292 where it is recorded that Josiah Downing received 150 acres in Granville County, SC on Parks Creek on 13 Feb 1768 from King George III. I will be more careful when speaking from the top of my head. >From: "lmr8h" <[email protected]> >Reply-To: "lmr8h" <[email protected]> >To: <[email protected]>,"mark downen" <[email protected]> >Subject: Fw: [DOWNING] Josiah Downing >Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2005 15:01:20 -0500 > >This is from the Downing list administrator. > >Lynda Roberts >----- Original Message ----- From: "Cheryl" <[email protected]> >To: "'lmr8h'" <[email protected]> >Sent: Sunday, January 02, 2005 12:36 PM >Subject: RE: [DOWNING] Josiah Downing > > >>King James of what?
