Joy, Her father was James Downing and mother Jane Tucker (also NA). She was also born in KY. I assume in Lower Maysville, Mason County. I would also like to add that after talking personally to Ken Downing and conversing with Joe Downing that they say after learning of my genealogy that I am not related to them. It has to be the Cherokee. As far as I know, no other Downing's existed in Ky or Adams County, Ohio, except for my people, that were not related to them from William on back to PA. Gregg
