William Downing is the son of Timothy Downing and Mary Chenowith. I certainly hope you find the missing link for Timothy but some of the finest Downing researchers haven't been able to find it. I don't know if we can firmly prove he was the son of Mary, Timothy's second wife, but it is generally agreed he was. I personally favor the arrival by UFO theory...
