Approx three years after George Downings separation and divorce from his wife Mary Forester (a cousin) he started an affair with his house-keeper Mary Townsend and in May 1722 a daughter named Elizabeth was born. Elizabeth married John Bagnell in late 1749 or the early part of 1750. Mary Townsend died March 1765. Good luck.
