This is just an update on the Downing DNA Project currently underway. The DNA of five of our participants has been analyzed. We have learned that none of the five are related, that four of them are of western European origin, and that the fifth is descended from Vikings! With a project such as this, it is important to enlarge the pool for best results. If any Downing males are willing to join the project, please let me know.
