I have a copy of a newspaper page with an item regarding John Downing of Kentucky. It was published in the Republican Compiler of Gettysburg, PA on Oct. 22, 1828. This is another article in a different paper about the volatile political issue regarding John Downing, Aaron Burr, Henry Clay, and General Jackson. It gives a little more insight into the issue. I will be searching for more items regarding this topic...especially trying to find the deposition of John Downing, which was published. Feel free to request for a copy, which will be sent as a file.
