I have a copy of a newspaper page with an item regarding Samuel Downing of Edenburg, Saratoga County, New York. It was published in the Adams Sentinel - (Gettysburg, PA) June 19, 1866. In the first column about halfway down.....the newspaper has printed a correction. They had previously reported that the last Revolutionary War pensioner was dead. They now say that Samuel Downing is still alive....over the age of 104! Feel free to email me with a request for a copy, which will be sent as a file.
