The lines begin to disperse across the country from there. Initial migration to Ohio and later on to the west. My immediate line begins with Orville Downing born in Vt. in 1810/2. I do not know his parents nor his siblings. He married Phoebe Montgomery daughter of Hugh and Rachael Row/Rowe/Rose Montgomery. Also in this line is a Henry Downing who married a Mary Heath. Luther Downing who married Sarah Cady. The surname Sprague, and Ellis and Starkweather connect to these lines too.
