    3. Some researchers believe that the parents of Dorcus were Timothy Downing 1747-1816 and Mary unknown, married in Cumberland Co. Pa. Barclay [ca 1805] stated that Dorcus Downing who married John Downing's son Ellis , her cousin, was the daughter of Timothy and Mary Downing. Four children: David 1769-1832 Dorcas 1771-1818 Frederick Co. Md.
