Patience Hatch 1, 16, 1676, and d. ca 1709 in Kittery was the son of Dennis Downing b. ca 1614 in London, m. 11, 7, 1634 Elizabeth Daines in Stepney, Middlesex, ENG and d ca 1650 in Kittery, ME or Portsmouth, NH. Dennis was a blacksmith and had a broither Joshua whio came to NE with him and settled nearby. Both may have stayed briefly in Ireland before coming to America.
