Anybody heard from Marilyn? Last time she posted, she evidently wasn't getting messages from the list. I wonder if she has Internet Service Provider problems. Joyce
I think it depends on how strong you are and what the Lord wants you to do.....I have had fibromalgia for years....It hurts real bad....I had an Aunt in a wheelchair with it but she has gotten better and out of the wheelchair...So far I've been strong enough to fight it pretty good and have never given in to it, With the Lords help.......Jenny Annje "If God is for you", "Who can be against you ?".."God helps those who help themselves." ----- Original Message ----- From: Marilyn/Don Rickman<mailto:mdrick@centurytel.net> To: down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com<mailto:down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2009 6:30 PM Subject: Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Marilyn Shonda, We are praying for the chemo to have done it's job. Tell Willis to hang in there as my nieces hubby was very weak & tired all of the time but about 2 weeks after he finished chemo he started feeling better & now 2 months after treatment all of the test were clean of the cancer. His cancer was in his throat God works in great ways so keep up your faith & we will continue with our prayers. We had a pastor at our church that has fibromyalgia & she had to take a medical retirement because she couldn't concentrate to even give her sermons so she just retired. She is now in a wheelchair at the age of 48. I really feel sorry for people with that disease. How I know she's not faking that pain.....I have that and arithis....Never know what's realy hurting....One reason I went so long with the hip too...Another reason I don't sleep welll and probally the reason ambien affects me the way it does.....Most pain meds make my muscles hurt worse.....I've just learned to live with it.....( the Lord has taught me)....Tell her a chiropractor can really help.....Flex-all does too....It relaxes the muscles.....That is a big help in the pain dept......Jenny Anne "If God is for you", "Who can be against you ?".."God helps those who help themselves." ----- Original Message ----- From: Marilyn/Don Rickman<mailto:mdrick@centurytel.net> To: down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com<mailto:down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2009 7:57 PM Subject: Re: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Marilyn my daughter has had 3 dr's. diagnose her with the same thing. She has never been a strong person all her life. She always had everything harder than the other 2. She is not faking her pain. She is 46 & looks 60 or so. The dr. says it is from the stress of the pain that her face is so drawn & aged looking.
