Waiting to Go Home! – Mon, 9/28, 8:30a Posted a few seconds ago We are waiting for the neurodude to give the o.k., which we are pretty sure will happen. The other managing doctor team is ready for us to go. We hope discharge will happen by noon today! Yea! God has helped Ryan so much this stay it is soooooo amazing. Last night Ryan‘s last IV site (in his foot) was beginning to go bad (infiltrate) and was therefore causing some pain. The nurses said they needed to put another one back in to continue the meds he was on. We said a prayer that Ryan wouldn‘t feel any pain. And I asked the nurses to ask the doctors if he really needed to get another IV since we might be going home today. They called the docs and they said the remaining meds could be stopped or made oral and so another IV DID NOT need to be put in!!! Plus, when they took out the bad IV, Ryan didn‘t even realize when they actually pulled it out. That was a miracle as everytime this has happened Ryan has freaked out with pain!
