    3. Milly, That is the way I remember it being made. Had forgotten all I knew about it. Couldn't for the life of me remember how it was done. BUT YOU JOGGED MY MEMORY!!!!!!! LOL yes, I remember now the mules and the trough. I couldn't remember what happened after the horses brought the cane in from the patch. The one and only time I ever saw it made. I remember it was started late in the evening and didn't finish up until late in the night. We kids got sleepy and sometime during the late night was sent home to go to bed. I was spending the night with my girl friend whose family was making the molassas. The next morning I awoke fully clothed, laying cross way the bed with six or seven other kids boys and girls laying cross ways the bed with me. LOL heaven help us if that were to go on today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happened every day in my life time and no one gave it a thought.
