    1. [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] Did anyone watch
    2. June I know you watched last night. I did also and listened to each word carefully. I still will stick with the President. Every word made sense to me. I have been one of those people with no health insurance. I was without it from age 56 1/2 till 65. I put off going to the hospital when I had gallbladder disease. Most of you don't know I almost died. I endured a lot of pain and an infection set in. I was in the hospital for 6 days. I should have been able to go home the next day. I was very lucky. The doctor who did the operation did it for FREE. My hospital bill was forgiven. It was $25,000.00 after the AARP plan I had. I did have to pay the anesthetist and the xray doctor as well as a few other bills. I am for the health plan..but a wise one. Not run by the government. But some how affordable by US the people. When I did try get insurance I could not afford it. They wanted over $500 a month. I did have AARP's United Healthcare. They paid $8000.00. The government one in Canada sucks. I know from first hand. My mother in law had a spot on her lung that they played off. When Val <<sister in law brought her over here to care for her we had to take out a special policy for $2200.00. USA don't accept Canada's plan and Canada won't pay it. Needless to say my MIL died from cancer which could have been caught. My husband's cousin who lives in London ONT has been ill for 2 years and they keep blowing him off. Not telling him what is wrong. Also Canada has a tax that pays for the healthcare. They have at last I heard 7.5 regular tax and GST tax of either 7.5 or 8.5. Can't remember. If a person from USA buys anything in Canada they can get back the GST tax they paid while visiting. Don't think for a minute that elderly people will be left to die or that illegal immigrants will get free care with a health plan. Why not tax the rich. they get away with too much now. They won't miss the money. What is $15,000.00 to someone who makes $250,000.00..Pea-nuts. oh well only a few will see the great possibilities... Remember tomorrow....September 11...Sad day in history Milly WARD Piros We do not inherit the land from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Native American Proverb

    1. [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] I watched the entire thing. He is very sensible and his plans are very reasonable. Republicans should at least listen!!!
    2. june
    3. Milly, I did watch it. I appreciate the president trying to work with the people who are so against trying to work out a reasonable plan. They are more intent on fighting than on trying to make things work. More politics than reason - it is so sad!! 3. No, they're not fighting him so much as saying wait till we have a plan that works....No one wants us to keep the mess we have permantly but wait till we have a better one to do something....Obama is a silver-tounged liar...He's better than Regan (the teflon prez) and he's better than Clinton at saying one thing, getting by the American people and then doing another or what he pleases.....Jenny Anne ----- Original Message ----- From: june<mailto:hjfore@windstream.net> To: down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com<mailto:down-home-chatter@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2009 9:17 AM Subject: [DOWN-HOME-CHATTER] I watched the entire thing.
