Gee Shirley, I wish I had your electric bill. Our never ran over $100.00 a month (total electric) then the power co. put in a computer system & they read the meter that way & they also had a rate increase & now our electric bill is running $180.00 to $ 190.00 a month. Can't believe we are using that much more power that we did in the years past. We knew it would go up a little but not double. Am eating some sugar free jell-o ( lemon ) as I have both of my scopes tomorrow. Have spent the past 36 hrs. getting ready for them tomorrow at 3:15 p.m. Will let you know the out come. Marilyn, the same thing happened in Virginia. Ours ran around $100. a month with a heat pump. The first of the year it almost doubled. But we have five extra people living with us at the moment, one teenager that thinks because she got out of bed she needs a shower after having one before she went to bed. Lights are on 24--7 that switch just works one way ON. So can't complain too much unless it stays that way!!! Dot Jo Let us know about the test. I have been having blacking out spells, went to dr. Sat. all blood work came back O.K. found I had a "beatiful' heart after the EKG!!!LOL or that's what he said. So am assuming it looked fine.
