Shirley, when we got married, my husband was making $36 a week working for his dad. He got a raise to $40. I was working at the drugstore, and I made about $32 a week if I worked Sunday. Hubby owed about $100 for gas, because he was coming to see me at college just about every week-end. I think the guy who owned the gas station knew my father-in-law would pay it if my husband didn't.
